Empowering Deaf Girls Through Skills and Opportunity

Deaf girls learning sewing skills

At Ella Foundation, we are deeply committed to advocacy and empowerment for the Deaf community. One of our key initiatives focuses on uplifting Deaf girls by equipping them with sewing and tailoring skills.

Skills for Independence

Learning a trade opens doors to financial independence. Through our tailoring program, we provide deaf girls with practical skills that can lead to employment or entrepreneurship opportunities.

Beyond the Needle and Thread

Our program goes beyond just teaching sewing. We provide a supportive environment where participants can build confidence, connect with fellow deaf individuals, learn business basics, and develop professional work habits.

Breaking Barriers

Many deaf girls face significant barriers to employment due to communication challenges. By providing vocational training, we're helping break these barriers and demonstrating that deaf individuals are fully capable of contributing to the economy.

Supporting Our Work

If you'd like to support our vocational training programs, please reach out. Your contributions help us provide materials, training, and support to more deaf girls across Tanzania.
